GPI, a French producer of adhesive tapes, announced that it will unveil a new series of silicone adhesive tapes, GergoSil. The series includes one double-sided silicone or acrylic adhesive tape and three single-sided silicone adhesive tapes. These products are suitable for bonding or fixing siliconized surfaces.
The GergoSil adhesive tape range has good resistance to chemicals and high temperatures and it offers excellent adhesion on all material types. The tapes provide high bonding on multiple siliconized surfaces. They have a color coding, which makes product identification easier and in addition, the GergoSil adhesive tapes can be easily removed without residue formation. The products are available in slit rolls or log rolls.
The 904S is one of the one-sided adhesive tape offered by the company. It is ideal for splicing surfaces in large width rolls. The 904S is refereed to as Green Silicone Adhesive Tape and is distinguished by a thicker carrier of 50 ìm. The 902S single-sided silicone adhesive tape, also known as the blue adhesive tape, includes a siliconized backing. This feature makes the product suitable for self-adhesive tape splicing. The PET filmic liner of the 902S can be removed easily, thus enhancing its ease-of-use on the shop floor. The third single-sided silicone adhesive tape, 900S is a very thin material that is suitable for splicing siliconized films or papers.
The 900D is a double-sided silicone adhesive tape available with two liners. The acrylic-adhesive side of the material has exceptional temperature and shear resistance features. The silicone-adhesive side possesses superior adhesion on siliconized substrates such as papers and films and on silicone-based materials such as silicone foam and silicone profiles.
