CERATECH has unveiled high-performance cement formulations mainly for industrial applications. FIREROK cement has the ability to resist exposure to high temperature loads of maximum 1000°C. Commonly-used cement, ekkomaxx200 delivers a low-cost concrete with moderate corrosion and heat resistance.
KEMROK cement is used to produce a structural concrete with higher corrosion resistance property for exposure to hazardous chemicals. All product lines from CERATECH withstand corrosive materials and extreme temperature better than traditional portland cement.
Portland cement concrete has large quantities of calcium silicate gel and calcium hydroxide, which makes them contract or dissolve in the presence of heat and caustic materials. But, cements from CERATECH do not contain these calcium compounds. They have very fine particles that produce a thick, low-permeability concrete that prevents penetration of moisture and corrosive liquids.
CERATECH's cements contain 95% of recycled materials and 5% of renewable materials. These highly engineered cements have a wide range of industrial applications, including fertilizer, agriculture, pulp and paper, foods, petroleum processing, metals, chemical processing and aircraft manufacturing facilities. They help to achieve multiple LEED credits and other environmental ratings. CERATECH's innovative cements are either offered as a concrete repair mix package or in the bulk form.
Texas-based Gulf Sulphur Services has recently built sulphur trenches with highly corrosive materials at temperatures more than 200°F. KEMROK concrete has been used for constructing a part of the trenches and the remaining portions have been constructed using the traditional, costly Type V portland concrete. After the completion of nine months, the traditional concrete started dripping off, whereas KEMROK concrete appeared to be in the same way when it was poured. Tony Worthen, project manager, stated that a durable concrete is required to withstand to the exposure of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the vapor zone and also to resist thermal shocks in the sulphur trenches. KEMROK meets both these requirements.
