D&W Fine Pack, a foodservice packaging firm, has inked a deal to purchase CM Packaging Group located in Lake Zurich, Illinois. The deal is anticipated to be complete in late November 2011.
CM Packaging Group, which comprises three business divisions, PDI, Stone Plastics and CM Packaging is a producer of aluminum and rigid plastic thermoformed containers for bakery, grocery, restaurant and food processing and production industries.
This acquisition will progress the D&W Fine Pack’s strategy to become a nationwide distributor of disposable containers and other goods for away-from-home and at-home foodservice markets. The purchase will expand the product offerings of D&W Fine Pack with its custom and stock products and the addition of five production locations.
D&W Fine Pack’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Staton commented that the company is focused on being a complete-service provider of foodservice packaging products for its customers. Integrating CM Packaging Group's products will enable the company to offer broad options and versatility to its customers in order to fulfill the emerging needs in the food packaging and foodservice industries, he added.
CM Packaging Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Faber stated that the combination of CM Packaging Group and D&W Fine Pack and their collective production and supply network will strengthen the customer service of CM Packaging Group.
