A manufacture of elastomeric seals and custom molded products, Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies has assisted automakers in reducing emissions and enhancing fuel economy in three major areas such as fluid power, gaskets and special sealing solutions.
Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies’ Senior Vice President of sales and marketing, Brad Norton said that the company is committed in developing novel products for existing cars and also in developing concepts for the future scenario. Green vehicles are believed to generate significant attention at the North American International Auto Show. Frfeudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies provides products that help automakers' to address these market demands in this segment, Norton said.
Reduced emissions and fuel efficiency is a common initiative in majority of 2012 vehicles. The low-emission sealing solutions (LESS) from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies aid in meeting these automaker needs. The LESS package includes new products that support modern downsizing concepts and optimize the combustion process. It contains reduced-friction sealing solutions that minimize wear and power loss.
LESS is leading the way for improved driving pleasure, better efficiency and optimum performance and simultaneously reducing consumption and emissions. At present, LESS solutions comprise friction-reduced dynamic seal ranges from the power-optimized PTFE Seal or the elastomeric energy-saving seal.
The company has developed two piston seals that minimize energy use and friction in mechanical transmissions for the automotive industry. Latest products include D-ring with PTFE enhancement and torque control seal (TCS).
