Hampson Aerospace has declared that it has secured an order from Triumph Aerostructures. The company will supply the turnkey tooling solution to Triumph’s wing manufacturing unit based in Texas.
Hampson along with Comau Aerospace will deliver the turnkey tooling solution for manufacturing capabilities at the new wing unit. Comau is the factory and automation integrator.
Triumph will manufacture wings at its 240,000 sq ft modern plant for the Global 8000 and Global 7000 business jets. The Vought Aircraft Division of Triumph Aerostructures has acquired this facility for future development in the Red Oak industrial park of USA and this plant is to be situated on 28 ac.
According to Paul Walsh, Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions’ CEO, the company has been honored, as it is received the contract to design and build the tools that are essential for the new wing facility. This is the second order for Hampson this year and the contract has shown the company’s potential to provide tooling solutions with high-level technical complexity.
Hampson has been designing and manufacturing the tools that play a significant role in the design, pre-production, and production of the aerospace programs, which include Airbus A380, A350, A320; Boeing F-18; Boeing 787, 777, 747-8, 737; Sikorsky CH53; Bombardier CSeries aircraft; Cessna Citation; Lockheed Martin F-35; HondaJet; and Gulfstream G650.
