Arburg, a manufacturer of injection moulding machines for plastics processing, will showcase hydraulic, hybrid and electric Allrounder machines that produces high-quality plastic moulded parts for packaging and optical markets at the Chinaplas 2012 exhibition. In addition, the company will introduce the new electric EDRIVE series at the event.
The new Edrive line of electric machines covers a clamping force that varies between 600 kN and 2,000 kN. These machines are suitable for producing standard products like technical moulded components. The Allrounder 470 E machine with a 1,000 kN clamping force will be displayed at the exhibition. The Allrounder E series machines feature a toggle-type clamping unit and high-efficiency servo-electric drives. The overall energy consumption of these machines is about 50% less when compared to standard machines. The new Allrounder Edrive series holds the Arburg “e²” label that indicates the optimal energy efficiency.
At the Chinaplas, Arburg will also showcase Allrounder 570 H, an addition to Hidrive series of high-performance hybrid machines. The machine features a clamping element, a special packaging unit and an injection unit. The injection unit helps to assure short cycle times. Allrounder 570 H operates with Glaroform’s four-cavity mould and it produces polystyrene cups. The resulting moulded cups weigh 10.1 g. The Hidrive series of hybrid machines from Arburg are designed for high-speed packaging applications. The machines’ clamping force ranges from 600 kN to 5,000 kN.
In addition, the company’s hydraulic S series machines will be featured at the event. These machines are suitable for all injection moulding processes. Allrounder 630 S is a hydraulic machine with a clamping force of 2,500 kN. It features a 2-cavity mould, provided by Hejiu Technology, and a hydraulic accumulator technology. The hydraulic S series machines are used to produce complex optical components such as light-guide panels.
