A designer and manufacturer of thermal processing systems for automotive, aerospace, medical, energy, chemical and other industries, Ipsen, has successfully completed the TITAN Roadshow at Cygnus Aviation Expo 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The company has been able to exhibit its TITAN vacuum heat treatment system to a number of companies in the aerospace and aviation industries and also for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) professionals. TITAN, an innovative, modular, skid-mounted thermal processing furnace features simple-to-master control system, which stores nearly thousand recipes, delivers real-time data acquisition and supports multiple languages. Key benefits of the system include operational simplicity, manufacturing versatility, small footprint, financial flexibility, high response time and greater profitability.
Ipsen’s team has also demonstrated the tempering, stress relieving, annealing, hardening and brazing capabilities of the TITAN furnace. Brazing is one of the important processes employed in the construction of aircraft, as it produces less thermal distortion when compared to welding. In addition, the process offers the capability to bind different metals and non-metals in an easy way. Brazing is suitable for connecting multi-part assemblies and the process is made easy with the use of TITAN.
In addition, Ipsen has showcased Ivadizer, an ion vapor aluminum deposition system, at the exhibition. The deposition process is used to apply a protective coating on aerospace and automotive components. The coating offers excellent corrosion resistance, minimizes loss of strength and prevents fatigue reduction of aluminum.
