EnVision Flexible Packaging, a provider of packaging solutions for consumer product manufacturers, and Coyote Kitchen, a salsa and southwest condiment manufacturer, has introduced a rapid conversion capability for green pouches.
The capability enables consumer product manufacturers, who are looking for flexible pouch packaging, to gain a quick turnaround benefit to make their goods appear on store shelves.
The FastTrak FlexiPak program has enabled the partnership between the two Phoenix-based companies and also in the development of a quality package. The partnership integrates EnVision’s expertise in flexible packaging with the manufacturing capabilities of Coyote Kitchen. The pouch allows consumer product manufacturers to attain environmental benefits such as utilizing water-based inks that have below 5% volatile organic compounds (VOCs) compared to solvent-based inks having high VOCs ranging from 40% to 60%. In addition, the flexible pouch creates an aesthetically appealing, bright package and reduces expenses of package upgrades.
Liesl Harder Kielp, Founder and President of EnVision, stated that the partnership between Coyote Kitchen and EnVision allows consumer product manufacturers to assess the flexible pouch packaging market before making huge capital investments. The production of the pouches is carried out in the U.S., which saves both money and time and offers a valued input to the economy, added Kielp.
Coyote Kitchen offers the manufacturing and packaging capability of FastTrak FlexiPak. The food manufacturer’s products, including salad dressings, salsa and sauces, will be available in green pouches within four months. At present, Coyote is also focusing to contract manufacture and packing of additional products in flexible pouches.
