The Linde Group, the gases and engineering company, has selected SGL Group, a carbon company, as an exclusive provider of carbon fiber for the new GENIE gas cylinder.
Linde Gases has launched GENIE, which is a technically advanced range of gas cylinders. These lightweight and portable cylinders have the potential to hold more gas.
New features such as unique regulators, in-built digital intelligence, and a unique range of accessories are included in the cylinders. These accessories improve the user experience and functionality. This type of gas cylinder has been introduced in the market for the first time.
GENIE cylinder has new and ergonomically design. It is lined with steel and is a pressure vessel wrapped using carbon fiber. This vessel is covered in a strong jacket, made using recyclable high density polyethylene (HDPE). GENIE is much lighter than the steel. The ground-breaking ergonomic design and high stability, broad-diameter, stackable construction of the cylinder gets a special appearance from other early designs of compressed gas cylinder.
SIGRAFIL C50 T024 EPY, which is a carbon fiber having improved stiffness and strength, has been provided by the SGL Group. The SIGRAFIL C50 24k carbon fiber’s exclusive properties are specifically designed for satisfying high performance demands such as pressure vessel winding.
