DuPont Performance Polymers has taken part in Plastindia 2012. “Infinite Opportunities” was the theme of Plastindia 2012. The company demonstrated how industrial, energy, consumer and automotive markets can be expanded with the help of high-performance plastics.
Applications like Tata Toyo charge air coolers that are made using DuPont Zytel Plus nylon were discussed at the conference. Team interactions with the potential customers resulted in a better understanding of challenges and problems of the customers. The customers were invited by the team to learn how materials science can be used to help developing solutions by visiting the India Knowledge Center in Hyderabad and the India Innovation Center in Pune.
According to DuPont Performance Polymers India’s country manager, Cheema Amandeep, India is well setup for plastic growth. He added that the company is interested to partner with the customers for new applications, with the help of their application development knowledge and strong technology.
The DuPont India Innovation Center forms a part in the company’s global collaboration effort, building partnership with governments, companies, organizations and people across the globe to meet significant challenges.
The highly developed center focuses on solutions, which decrease vehicle weight, enhance comfort, safety, design and performance, and advance alternative drive vehicles. The DuPont Knowledge Center has included materials research, engineering, application development potential and biotechnology research.
