Hosokawa Micron has launched a new electronic version of the Alpine Air Jet Sieve device, which has been designed to perform particle size analysis of any type of dry material.
The enhanced version will offer simpler, faster and more reliable operations. The new Alpine Air Jet Sieve e200 LS tool is available with three software packages and a broad range of accessories.
Ultimate, Professional and eControl Basic are the software packages which can be enhanced to a higher version with easy and spontaneous operation. Innovative accessories available with the electronic version of the Alpine Air Jet Sieve include a high performance cyclone for clean and reliable recovery of fine particles; an ultrasonic test sieve cleaning system; a high-precision laboratory balance; a small filter to perform active dedusting of the process air; and a high performance vacuum cleaner.
Approximately 10 µm samples placed in the device are fluidized by a rotating jet stream and a perfect separation for sieving can be produced. The fine particles are drawn via test screens, which are available in 10 µm to 2 mm range. The new Alpine Air Jet Sieve e200 LS features an integrated mini-computer with a 6.4“ touch screen. The computer examines and manages the complete sieving process, which leads to highly improved repeatability and decreased quality control operating times. The particle size analysis tool also has several other features, including direct link of a laboratory balance through an interface, information about the system data and settings, automatic detection of the test sieve mesh and individual language selection.
