NextLife, a sustainable plastic resins manufacturer, has collaborated with Styrolution for post consumer recycled (PCR) polystyrene resin production. NextLife’s new blends having PCR contain post consumer content, which is supplied to Styrolution.
The new product line having three resin grades have been specifically designed for extrusion and injection molding applications. This new line of resins is compliant with FDA. The PS virgin-recycled product line has PCR resin of 25%, which is processed similar to the standard polystyrene and can be applied in various industries that include office accessories, housewares, food service and appliance parts.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of NextLife, Ronald Whaley, the company is looking forward to the new product line from Styrolution and NextLife’s recycled content in various applications and industries. He said that this new partnership and Styrolution’s hard work is a significant win for the plastics industry.
NextLife will take part in NPE2012, on 3 April, 2012 for discussing its PCR resins and the new collaboration.
