CVD Equipment has reported that it has secured a multi-million dollar contract from a manufacturer of aerospace components, in order to design a customized chemical vapor deposition system solution for use in next generation composite products.
According to Leonard Rosenbaum, CVD Equipment’s CEO and President, the company is delighted to be chosen for designing a CVD production system solution, which can potentially meet the yield and possible requirements of the aerospace components manufacturer. This new contract will help the company to continue building on the successful beginning of systems manufactured under a former multi million dollar contract signed with the same client. The order is in line with the company’s vision to speed up the commercialization of future technologies and to allow a risk managed and cost effective transition of technologies from pilot manufacturing and research and development (R&D) to produce at full scale, he stated.
He also added that it is special that the efforts of the company’s employees and customer demands enabled the company to by a ney 130,000 square-foot facility, which is 100% larger that present facilities. Design engineering, production potential and application laboratory is expanded by the purchase of the new facility, which will help the company to deal with expected future growth for offering pilot, R&D, and production custom Chemical Vapor Deposition solution systems to a wide range of markets. The company may completely occupy the new facility in the Q3 of 2012, according to him.
