Masterpiece Graphix has announced the addition of advanced equipment in its facility located in St. Louis, Missouri for functional coating applications.
Masterpiece Graphix has expanded its converting technologies and coating capabilities with this new equipment, which enables it to provide better solutions for a broad range of applications in the converting industry. The company can now provide different functional coatings to several substrates using the high-tech equipment. The substrates include post-print, pre-print, lab trials, gel, heat-resistant, anti-static, anti-glare, and anti-corrosive coatings.
With these new capabilities, Masterpiece Graphix can now apply top-end and bottom-end coat weights, from heavy coat weight gels to thin aqueous solutions. The company can also provide demo and pilot runs for companies that intend to trial coatings without using their own equipment.
Masterpiece Graphix’s expanded capabilities also comprise a comprehensive suite of turnkey sheet converting solutions, which include custom sheeting, roll-to-sheet, sheet-to-sheet and conventional full roll-to-roll applications. The company’s proprietary technology for roll and sheet opportunities demonstrates superior performance than traditional techniques.
The Vice President of Business Development at Masterpiece Graphix, Dan Lawellin informed that the company will provide the same application driven development, quick change capability, and services that it has provided to the print community for other coated material applications such as electronics, medical, and aerospace coatings. The company has a unique combination of advanced coating technology and an innovative and efficient team, which will help partners and end users to develop new applications, products, and revenue streams by enabling them to look at new advances that are not justifiable or cost efficient on conventional coating equipment.
