Essemtec, a Swiss-based manufacturer of production systems for use in electronics, announced that it has introduced the Paraquda high-speed SMD pick-and-place system, featuring a new dispensing option.
Essemtec Dispensing on Paraquda
The range of applications has been expanded in the placement machine through this new dispensing option. The Paraquda system can dispense about 20,000 paste or glue dots in an hour.
The new dispensing option can be fitted with a screw dispensing or a time-pressure valve, and is directly fixed on the Paraquda pick-and-place head. A motor or encoder system exactly controls the vertical motion of the valve. The distance between PCB and the dispensing needle is controlled by a high-resolution laser sensor.
The Paraquda pick-and-place system has all the characteristics of a new dispensing machine with the inclusion of the new dispensing option. A completely automatic cleaning system and a needle height calibration station are included in the dispensing machine. A quick exchange system is also included in order to carry out fast conversion between various dispensing valves.
SMD placement potential of the Paraquda system with paste and glue dot dispensing can be expanded by this new dispenser option, making logistics simpler since a single machine can focus on many assembly operations.
