SEHO Systems, manufacturer of customer-specific solutions and automated soldering systems, has reported that its’ PowerSelective, which is a selective soldering system, will be showcased at the SMTA Ohio Valley Expo & Tech Forum. This Tech Forum will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Ohio, on July 12, 2012.
The PowerSelective system provides excellent quality results. The new and unique characteristic for process control ensures absolutely reproducible results.
This real-quantity flux monitoring system is definitely a breakthrough in process control. The drop jet fluxer function is not the only parameter monitored by this high-precision flux control, but the actual flux quantity applied to the board is also monitored.
An error message will be thrown, when any deviation is sensed by the system. The software shows the section of the printed circuit board, which has not been accurately fluxed. This ensures constant process conditions and high process reliability, where in the cycle time is not influenced.
Incoming boards are automatically identified by the intelligent tool management with the help of a coding system. These boards are then allocated to the soldering unit, fitted with the solder nozzle tool. An AOI system is another new product from the company and can be directly embedded in the selective soldering method. This AOI system can help detect the soldering defects like bridging, missing pin and non-wetting.
