Clark Pacific, a provider of structural and architectural precast concrete solutions, has reported the completion of the California properties acquisition from Hanson Structural Precast, a unit of Hanson Building Products North America, a company of the HeidelbergCement Group and Lehigh Hanson.
The acquisition comprises the production facility in Irwindale, California, and an industrial-zoned property spanning 80 acres in Adelanto, California. Through this purchase, Clark Pacific will now have the Irwindale facility as its fourth precast concrete manufacturing plant in California, and will have an increased production capacity to substantially expand its structural precast concrete product offering for the markets in Southern California and Nevada, especially for office buildings and parking structures.
Clark Pacific’s expansion takes place at a right time as it currently has several projects under the production pipeline. The company recently made an announcement that it is manufacturing precast concrete components for the new NFL Stadium situated in Santa Clara, California. Moreover, it is currently supplying architectural precast concrete for the new San Bernardino County Courthouse, the new LA Live Marriott, the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, and the new Stanford Hospital.
Clark Pacific’s President of Operations, Bob Clark commented that this purchase will enable the company to increase its structural solutions offering. The company is happy to welcome existing Irwindale employees to the Clark Pacific team as it enhances its services to builders, owners and designers.
Ed Wopschall, the Irwindale facility’s former General Manager for more than four decades, will oversee the plant for Clark Pacific.
Clark Pacific’s President of Business Development, Don Clark stated that the company can now deliver cost-efficient structural solutions for its customers in Southern California, including its advanced precast seismic technologies like the Precast Hybrid Moment Frame as well as All-in-One, architecturally finished structural solutions.
