Holz Rubber, a company that manufactures rubber and provides molding solutions, has completed a two-fold acquisition in which it has taken over Caliber Industries and the assets of the industrial division of Canadian-based company, Airboss.
The acquisition brings not only technical expertise and employees from the acquired companies into Holz’s fold but also brings in compression and injection molding presses with other necessary rubber molding equipment.
Holz already has a compression molding facility. The acquisition will help expand its molding capacity and increase speed of delivery. The increase in molding capabilities by virtue of acquiring the injection molding equipment will enable the company to mold rubber in any desired shape and will help serve a wider base of customers and industries across the world with improved efficiency.
Dave Smith, President of Holz Rubber, stated that the acquisitions were logical actions in compliance with the company’s desire to efficiently serve its customers and build up technical expertise for the future. The manufacturing equipment from the industrial division of Airboss will be shifted from Ontario, Canada to the Holz manufacturing facility in Lodi, California. Caliber Industries, which is located in Gladstone in Michigan, is also shifting base to the Lodi facility.
Holz Rubber, established in 1935, provides a wide range of custom solutions and supplies high-quality expansion joints for numerous applications throughout North America. The company serves a number of industries such as oil and gas exploration, power generation, water & waste, agriculture, mining and refining.
