MINExpo, the well known international exposition of mining services and equipment highlighting new product launches, is scheduled to take place this year at the Las Vegas Convention Center from September 24 to 26.
At the exposition, the two divisions of Kaydon, namely, Kaydon Corporation Bearings Division and Cooper Bearings will jointly exhibit at booth number 25037. Kaydon manufactures customized engineering products catering to diverse industries such as mining, aerospace, electronic, medical and alternative energy.
The two divisions will showcase the Kaydon slewing ring bearings and Cooper split-to-the-shaft bearings. These products have been specified by major surface mining operators and equipment OEMs. The Kaydon slewing ring bearings are available in diameters up to 6.1 m and are suitable for use in hydraulic excavators, shovels, overburden spreaders, stacker reclaimers and other mining equipment. Kaydon also offers repair services for bearings and replacement services for slewing ring bearings of any OEM, thereby providing mining operators, up to 60% savings in price in comparison to OEM replacement. Kaydon Bearings is also credited with the invention of the thin section bearing.
Cooper split-to-the-shaft bearings are employed in generators, mining motors, conveyors, stacker reclaimers, gearboxes, winding gears, ventilation fans and large surface mining machinery. Cooper Bearings is credited with the invention of the split-to-the-shaft bearing and is considered to be an expert in specialized bearing design and development.
