ITW Sexton, a manufacturer and global supplier of specialty aerosol cans, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its specialty aerosol cans. This is the first ISO certification awarded for the company’s fabrication process for aerosol containers.
ITW Sexton manufactures the specialty aerosol cans at its United States facility located at Decatur in Alabama. The company has previously been awarded ISO certification for its capacitor and deep drawn filter operations carried out at its facility in Martinsburg in West Virginia. The high-pressure aerosol containers from ITW Sexton find application in numerous products such as winter chemicals, vehicle care, adhesives and sealants and other such consumer and industrial applications.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification (Certificate No.CERT-0061887) granted for ITW Sexton covers the company’s manufacture of deep drawn stampings for use in engineering and automotive products and aerosol cans that have been granted special permit by the DOT in addition to the specialty aerosol containers. According to Yurij Wowczuk, General Manager at ITW Sexton, the ISO certification is a tribute to the efforts extended by the company’s employees at the Decatur manufacturing facility and said that the employees’ dedication to excel in their endeavors allowed the company to comply with the requirements mandatory for ISO certification. Yurij Wowczuk also believes that the ISO certification has positioned the company in a better place to exploit the new business opportunities available in both domestic and international markets.
ITW Sexton is a part of the Illinois Tool Works company that manufactures engineered equipment and consumable systems, fasteners and components and specialty components.
