Heraeus will exhibit the SOL9600 Series of front-side metallization pastes at the 27th Annual European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (PVSEC) at Frankfurt, Germany.
The Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit will introduce the new series of advanced metallization pastes required for higher efficiency and finer line resolution printing. SOL9600 Series is an improved version of the industry’s previous SOL9235 and SOL9411 line of pastes.
Heraeus’s SOL9600 series for use in conventional c-Si solar cells is a product line that has shown improved contact quality, when tested on standard as well as high sheet emitter wafers. There was up to 35% decrease in contact resistance. The series has also displayed an absolute efficiency enhancement of up to 0.3%. Like all Heraeus metallization pastes, the SOL9600 series also provides an extensive processing window during firing. This results in tighter production output distribution and offers better yields.
The global manager of the Photovoltaics Business Unit, Andy London, commented that the SOL9600 Series of pastes offers considerable improvements over present industry applications. It further reiterated Heraeus' leadership in the PV pastes arena.
In the field of photovoltaics, the Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit applies innovative technology, new product development and extensive research in thick film technologies to offer improved metallization pastes for all kinds of solar cell applications.
This year's PVSEC trade show will be held at the Messe Frankfurt fairground on September 25-28 in Frankfurt, Germany. Heraeus will exhibit the SOL9600 Series of front-side metallization pastes in Hall 3.0, booth number G16.
