Axcelis Technologies, the Massachusetts-headquartered company that provides novel solutions for enhancing productivity for semiconductor manufacturers, has bagged a contract valued at US $30 million from a leading global semiconductor company.
The contract duration is for five years and entails the provision of complete global support by Axcelis. Dubbed as the Global Support Solutions program, the award winning semiconductor productivity enhancement program optimizes all features indicative of manufacture performance at every step of the semiconductor fabrication process.
As per the contract, Axcelis will offer the complete portfolio of cleaning, implant and thermal processing tools to numerous fabs customers located in the United States. A host of programs will be implemented by specialists from Axcelis to improve capital efficiency and productivity of the system. The scope of the programs will also include management and reporting of consumables and spare parts and all areas pertaining to tool maintenance. The Global Support Solutions program also enables customers to address the most pressing challenges in manufacturing by providing tailored application and process support.
