Lively, playful, coquettish, eye-catching: “Catch me….” a new fragrance by Cacharel attracts attention with a striking bottle designed as a spinning top surmounted by multiple metallised bubbles.
The flacon and the bubbly cap which is made out of DuPont™ Surlyn® were created by the French designer Patrick Veillet as a playful object. Surlyn® was the material of choice for cap producer MBF Plastiques who needed a packaging material that can be metallized and has a good chemical resistance. The spherical cap also posed the challenge to mold it with perfect round shapes without any visual lines. Thanks to the processing flexibility of Surlyn® the numerous bubbles on the cap could be molded in mono-injection technology for thick and complex parts after installing special drawers into the mould and decorated with a shiny color that reflects the color of the fragrance, which is available as 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Parfum.
