MAUSER Group continues to expand its presence as a worldwide leader in industrial packaging through the recent opening of its latest fiber drum plant in North America. Located adjacent to MAUSER's plastic drum facility in The Woodlands, the new fiber drum plant will provide customers in the southwestern United States with lock ring fiber drums with diameters ranging from 14" to 23" and in a variety of materials and lids.

"As our customers continue to grow and require diverse packaging solutions for their products, we will continue to grow with them," said Siegfried Weber , Sr. VP Global Sales and Marketing, MAUSER North America. "Fiber drums are an important component of our product offerings in North America and this new plant completes our family of products here in the southwestern United States."

The addition of the new fiber drum facility in The Woodlands, Texas, will provide MAUSER the opportunity to supply a full array of industrial packaging solutions to customers in the southwestern United States. Additional packaging formats available in Texas include plastic drums from The Woodlands as well as steel drums and IBC's from Houston, Texas, less than 30 miles away.

"The market continues to ask for MAUSER fiber drums," said Mark Zymon , General Manager, MAUSER Fiber. "Customers value our poly overlay technology which prevents corrosion and rusting of the top chime and improves product quality. We also incorporate our safety chime design on all our chimes as well as a double hemmed lock ring design to reduce cuts when handling and opening our drums. And of course we groove all our chimes which provides superior quality finish versus crimping."

Open House event
An "Open House" event will be held at the new fiber plant on March 19th, 2013 from 9:00am CT until 3:00pm CT.
