cei Wins FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards for Wide Web Printing

cei (Coating Excellence International), a market leading flexible packaging and technical products company, announced that it had been awarded two medals, including a gold and a silver in the wide web category of the Flexographic Technical Association's (FTA) Excellence in Flexography Awards competition.

The FTA is the world's leading professional society dedicated to the advancement of the flexographic printing industry. The Excellence in Flexography Awards is highly esteemed as the industry's most prestigious and coveted, recognizing the best and most innovative companies, products and techniques in the Flexographic industry.

cei received a gold medal for its Georgia-Pacific® BASIC Copy Paper ream wrap and received a silver medal for its Georgia-Pacific® PREMIUM Ink Jet & Laser Paper ream wrap. Both of these designs were recognized in the wide web -- screen, film category.

According to the FTA, "If this year's FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards competition proved anything, it's that flexographic technology is moving at a blistering pace." As one judge noted, "Flexography's future is bright." In this year's competition, over 500 print samples were submitted and 104 received awards in 11 different categories.
