Pittsburgh, PA-based L.B. Foster Company announced that its CXT® Concrete Buildings plant in Spokane, Washington has been selected as a finalist by IndustryWeek magazine for their 2013 Best Plants Award. L.B. Foster's Pueblo, CO rail products facility previously won the publication's 2011 award as one of North America's top manufacturing plants and the company has been chosen as a finalist for each of the last four years.

This new recognition demonstrates L.B. Foster's ongoing commitment to continuous improvement in the workplace and sustained efforts to provide customer satisfaction. "Our employees have created a work environment where quality and competitiveness thrive. I am again encouraged by our team's extraordinary dedication to manufacturing excellence," said Robert Bauer, L.B. Foster President and CEO.

CXT Concrete Buildings is the leading U.S. manufacturer of precast concrete restroom, shower and concession buildings. These durable structures are in use at federal, state, county, city and private recreational sites. The buildings are manufactured in Spokane, WA and Hillsboro, TX.

The IndustryWeek Best Plants award program was established in 1990 to annually recognize North American plants for leading edge efforts to increase competitiveness, enhance customer satisfaction and create stimulating and rewarding work environments. The magazine's top ten manufacturing plants will be selected from an impressive list of finalists and a trophy will be presented to 2013 winners on May 5th in Milwaukee at the 2014 IndustryWeek Best Plants conference.
