Looking forward in the first quarter of 2014, the industry's shipment value is forecast to decline 3.7% sequentially while advancing 9.1% year on year.

Research Scope This research focuses on Taiwanese MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) manufacturing industry. Companies surveyed in this research are those owning facilities to make MOS wafers in Taiwan, including IC foundries, DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) vendors, and IDMs (Integrated Device Manufacturer). Their businesses include in-house production of semiconductor components or contract manufacturing services of wafers. However, GaAs wafer manufacturers are excluded from the research.

Statistics revealed in this research are from Taiwanese makers whose production sites and shipment destinations include Taiwan, China, Japan, other Asian countries, North America, Europe, and other regions.
