D&W Fine Pack, a leader in the food packaging industry, is launching its new VersaLock™ tamper-evident packaging line featuring an advanced corner-tab design.
VersaLock's corner tab indicates tampering while its tight perimeter seal keeps food fresh, resists leaks and eliminates the need for shrink bands. An audible "snap" confirms positive closure while a separated tab indicates an opened container.
The containers are consumer-friendly with easy-opening, reusable lids and instructional safety tabs. The clear sidewalls of the package make it easy for consumers to see the product.
The VersaLock container line will be available in 8, 12, 16, 24 and 32 ounce sizes. The containers combine a number of merchandising advantages, including a crystal-clear, rib-free design that maximizes product visibility and allows easy application of custom labels on the smooth sidewall surface. The containers are designed for optimal stacking and shelf utilization. VersaLock is made of PET, which is a widely accepted material for recycling.
"VersaLock containers are intuitive to operate and offer an added signal to consumers who can detect an opened package from the separated corner tab," comments Clay Davis, senior vice president of sales and marketing at D&W. Davis also notes that VersaLock can display all types of cold or dry foods from deli and bakery items to fruit, salads, nuts, desserts and carry-out.
