Airwolf 3D has expanded its range of professional desktop 3D printers with the introduction of an entry-level model, the AW3D HDL.
Like Airwolf 3D’s other high-end 3D printers, the AW3D HDL delivers superior quality and technical support with the ability to integrate more sophisticated features later.
The AW3D HDL has a modular design, allowing users to extend the system to meet their future requirements. Available modules include jam-resistant JRx hot end or dual hot-end to print engineering-grade filaments such as Bridge nylon and polycarbonate.
The build envelope of the AW3D HDL with dimensions of 12" x 8" x 11" is three to four times bigger than competitive products at a similar price. The completely assembled and calibrated system has a maximum printing speed of 150mm/s, and up to 0.08mm layer-to-layer resolution.
The AW3D HDL comes with complimentary MatterControl PRO for software support for organization and management of all 3D prints. Lesson plans are also available on Airwolf 3D’s website to aid educators introduce 3D printing to students.
Airwolf 3D has announced the availability of the AW3D HDL for immediate purchase, and will introduce this entry-level 3D printer to the public at the 3D Printer World Expo, which will be held from 22 to 23 August, 2014, in Seattle.
