Arckit Announces Offering of Bespoke Add-on 3D Printed Components

An award-winning modeling system specifically designed for architects, is now offering bespoke add-on 3D printed components.

Arckit is introducing Arckit Infiniti 3D this month, and it will extend the scope of model making. Arckit will offer one-off components of the best quality from the Infiniti 3D store, available online at Shapeways a renowned 3D printing service.

The wide choice of custom designed components enables model enthusiasts, architects, and schools to expand their current Arckit collections. Completely unique landscape elements, bespoke walls, church spires, archways, domes, vehicles, roofs, furniture, columns, figurines, dormers, stairs, and many other components can now be custom made.

Arckit Infiniti 3D provides a new outlet for everyone to further develop their architectural skills and creations. And we want everyone to get involved by sending in their suggestions for new components. Architects will benefit from greater freedom to implement their own unique stamp on their designs. This together with Arckit’s speed of assembly and affordability could mark a genuine return to physical model making within architectural practices.

Although a standalone modular system, Arckit can work along with conventional ‘cut and glue’ methods. Arckit 3D printed components fit into place easily, and can be used with exisiting Arckit components to make improved designs and various architectural styles.

Schools and universities that are using Arckit to teach STEAM skills to their students will benefit from the launch of Infiniti 3D store. Arckit is already available at RIBA Book Shop, Harrods, and quality shops, museum & design stores. Barnes & Noble now offers the system in its 445 stores located across the US. Arckit’s new modular system has been covered extensively on TV and media, including Fast Company, Fox News, The Times, NBC, Wired and Dezeen.

This is the beginning of a new and exciting venture for Arckit. We have big plans for Infiniti 3D and will continue to grow our component range. We are also reaching out to the Arckit community for feedback and suggestions, as we want everyone to be involved from the beginning. This is another first for the architectural model industry. We expect 3D printing to be huge in the future, and we want to be at the forefront of its development within architecture and model making.

Arckit Mini and GO Colors Launching in 2016

After the successful launch of this multi-award winning architectural model system, Arckit will release a series of new modeling kits in 2016. Mini Angle Kit, Mini Curve Kit, GO Colours, and Mini Dormer Kit will be the new kits launched in the summer of 2016 and will be available at arckit.com.

The new innovative components can be used with the existing collection of components, paving the way for more innovative designs. Components like curved walls and windows, angled floors, and dormer walls can now be accessed by architects and model enthusiasts, enabling them to come up with even greater and appealing designs.

The Mini range is a standalone system that allows users to try out all design possibilities with the help of special parts, whose integration with one another and existing kits is possible in the later stage. This paves the way for users to make more ambitious models.

We’ve been listening to people’s feedback and we are now developing new parts that are in demand. It’s a huge step forward for Arckit. They will also work well with our Arckit Infiniti 3D store, which we hope will eventually make almost every conceivable architectural component available to model makers.

As it is possible to include the modular parts to collections and re-use them, the Mini kits are anticipated to be a good investment for Arckit users.

Arckit GO Colours, Arckit’s first multi colored kit, will be released at the right time for schools and parents, considering the high success of the Arckit systems within education as a means of teaching STEAM skills. The colorful kit of Arckit is a tool to learn hands-on design skills and it will give younger children the opportunity to make models.

Since winning the Parents’ Choice Gold Award, there’s been massive demand for using Arckit to inspire the next generation of budding young architects. GO Colours is designed as a fun and cool introduction to the more advanced kits. It looks fantastic and can even be used alongside other popular model sets.
