Leading Swedish fuel cell company PowerCell Sweden AB (publ) has signed an agreement with South African based Powertech System Integrators (Pty) Ltd (PTSI) to distribute PowerCell's products in Africa.
PTSI is a system engineering and integration business with a prominent market share in the energy and power electronics sectors. Its customers include power and telecom utilities, large power users, and industrial and commercial firms in southern and sub-Saharan Africa. As a distributor for PowerCell Sweden in Africa, PTSI will be responsible for sales and integration as well as for parts, service and maintenance.
”We have been working closely with PTSI for the last three years for the installation and operation of the prototype PowerPac machines that have and are being operated in South Africa for testing,” said Andreas Bodén, Sales & Marketing Director at PowerCell Sweden AB.
“PTSI is a reputable company with all the required expertise for the installation, operation and maintenance of standby power and fuel cell systems for the telecoms industry. We believe that PTSI will complement our business and will be able to bridge the long distance to Africa for us,” Andreas Bodén added.
Powertech Technologies Limited (Powertech), which is wholly owned by the JSE listed Altron Group, owns the majority stake in Powertech System Integrators (Pty) Ltd, together with B-BBEE partner Izingwe.
