Rexam Starts up Plastic Packaging Plant in Poland

Rexam has opened its first plastic packaging plant in Poland, where it already has two glass plants in Gostyn and Wyszkow.

The new facility, located in Lodz (130 km west of Warsaw), is further evidence of the company’s strategy to invest in growth and emerging markets. The greenfield project, part of the acquisition of Precise Technology in December 2005, successfully started production in mid-April. Rexam will now be able to offer new and existing clients in the Home & Personal Care markets fast and reliable deliveries of plastic parts to all destinations in Europe.

The new 4,000m2 facility will house 14 moulding machines with high-speed robotics and assembly. Capabilities include plastic injection molding, manual and automated assembly, ultrasonic welding, labeling, and other value added activities.
