Techint Technologies, through its Company Techint Italimpianti do Brasil Ltda, has obtained the Final Acceptance certificate (FAC) related to the refurbishment of the bauxite Reclaimer (35 m boom), supplied by Techint itself some years ago, located in Alunorte Alumina Plant, Brazil.
Techint, responsible of the design, supply and erection on a turn key basis of the complete refurbishment works, increased the capacity of the Reclaimer, originally designed for 500 tph, up to 1,000 tph design capacity / 1,250 tph peak capacity.
The works mainly included :
- replacement of the bucket wheel
- replacement of the boom conveyor
- replacement of the slew drives
- various modifications include new feed system to the stockyard conveyor
This successful refurbishment represents a further step in the important and long lasting co-operation with Alunorte in the field of the Material Handling equipment.
