ThyssenKrupp Sell Back Their Share of Wickeder Westfalenstahl

Wickeder Westfalenstahl GmbH, based in Wickede (Ruhr) near Dortmund, has bought back the 25.1% share in its capital held by ThyssenKrupp Steel AG. The share was transferred with economic effect at December 31, 2005.

Wickeder Westfalenstahl is a medium-sized enterprise focusing on the production of cold-rolled strip, clad materials and components for CRT monitors. ThyssenKrupp Steel has divested itself of this minority shareholding because it does not represent a core activity in its portfolio.

The long-standing business partnership in the form of starting material supplies and an intensive exchange of know-how in a demanding market segment will continue in full.
