Chemical company LANXESS is to realign its Technical Rubber Products (TRP) business unit with effect from July 1. The business unit will be subdivided worldwide into business lines according to products. With this change in structure, LANXESS wants to take account of varying developments in products and markets to an even greater extent.
Pricing, operational and strategic volume flows and resource allocation will be decided upon by the business lines themselves, independently of one another. In line with the global drive to encourage individual responsibility for sales, costs and results, this should facilitate greater freedom to act and even more flexibility.
The management of the individual business lines:
The EPDM business line will be headed by Robert Gnann, also Managing Director of LANXESS Buna GmbH in Marl, Germany.
The NBR/E-SBR business line (emulsion rubber TRP) will be managed by Uwe Westeppe, site manager and Directeur Général of LANXESS Emulsion Rubber, La Wantzenau, France since June 1, 2007.
The CR business Line (polychloroprene) will be led by Gerd Deimel, currently head of Marketing Europe/LATAM.
The Specialties business line (HNBR, EVM and future new products) will be headed by Stephen Pask, currently head of APD.
TRP motto: “One face to the customer”
To take advantage of synergies on the market – both global and regional – and to ensure that customers who order several TRP products have only one contact, the Marketing & Business Services department headed by Jürgen Gunther will look after sales for all the business lines.
