Hydro's aluminium precision tubing activities have captured two supplier awards from Denso, one for quality and the other for delivery and service.
At its annual North American Supplier Meeting on August 29 in Michigan, Denso presented two of its five Excellence Awards to Hydro's manufacturing facility in Rockledge, Florida.
"These awards are a recognition of significant efforts by the Rockledge plant. This has taken commitment over a number of years," says Keith Jones, who heads the Rockledge plant and is responsible for Hydro's precision tubing activities in North America. These activities also include production and die operations in Michigan, and a new production site in Mexico.
Jones says Denso also was "pleased with the cooperation on new projects. All in all, this is a very welcome reward that recognizes the efforts that people are putting in here."
Japan-based Denso is a subsidiary company of Toyota and a major supplier of automotive air-conditioning systems to Toyota and Honda. The company has also grown as a supplier to carmakers in North America, due to its high quality and performance products.
