Premix Tailor Thermoplastic Material for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

The conductive thermoplastic housing material for Biomarine Inc.’s Self Contained Breathing Apparatus is the latest example from the successful development co-operation with the customers and Premix Oy.

It took Premix Oy less than 12 weeks to develop and qualify a material which met the fireman breathing unit’s extremely demanding requirements. A thermoplastic conductive compound PRE-ELEC® 14-040-HI withstands even the most rugged use while providing protection against radio interference.

Biomarine Inc.’s self contained breathing apparatus.

Premix’s product portfolio covers virtually the whole resistance spectrum from highly conductive elastomers to dissipative ESD-compounds to be used in ATEX, EMI, ESD, heat dissipation and metal replacement applications. The nearly 25 years experience from the field of conductive plastics has been utilized in active development work with the customers.
