Introducing Strongwell’s Pultruded FRP Cladding Attachment Support System

Strongwell has introduced an all-FRP continuous insulation (CI) cladding attachment support system called STRONGIRT™.

The STRONGIRT™ all-FRP (fiberglass) pultruded composite has a special laminate design and uses a custom fire-retardant resin system to provide exceptional thermal efficiency and excellent pullout strength. It has the potential to work with any type of non-proprietary insulation (fabricating or routing of stiff insulation is not needed).

The STRONGIRT™ system has been designed to facilitate self-draining to clear rainwater. Moreover, weep holes can be either pre-fabricated or added to the field for extra drainage requirements.

Designed for stiffness and strength, the product supports insulation, cladding, and wind loads, while providing an easy, durable, and low-cost solution for installers.

The STRONGIRT™ system is available for insulation thicknesses ranging from 1-1/2″ to 6″ (in increments of 1/2″). It can be utilized with all types of non-proprietary insulation and can be installed either horizontally or vertically based on construction needs.

The STRONGIRT™ system also provides superior corrosion resistance, excellent pullout strength, enhanced thermal efficiency, and streamlined in-field fabrication over conventional metal cladding attachment systems.
