Stainless Steel and High Temperature Alloys Specialists Combined to Form United Performance Metals

As per their announcement in December 2007, the combined forces of Ferguson Metals and AIM International have begun their new life trading as United Performance Metals. This follows their acquisition by O'Neal Steel during 2006.

United Performance Metals now operate out of the Ferguson Metals' headquarters in Hamilton, Ohio, which includes a 108,000 square foot facility with capacity for supplying coil, sheet and plate, as well as offering slitting, edging, shearing, leveling and sawing services. They will specialize in delivering a variety of flat rolled, specialty metal products with a focus on specialty grades of stainless steels, nickel alloy and cobalt alloys.

Ferguson Metals' Founder Wayne Ferguson was happy to accept the merger proposal, seeing the advantages and synergies for the combined entity attacking the market together. Together with AIM International President, Tom Kennard, United Performance Metals look forward to a fruitful future where they hope to increase their market share.
