Printing Ink Manufacturer Sun Chemicals Acquires Rycoline

Sun Chemical Corporation, the world's largest manufacturer of printing inks and pigments, today announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of Rycoline Incorporated.

The acquisition is a further step in Sun Chemical's strategy to provide "total solutions" for the printing industry, according to Wes Lucas, Chairman, President and CEO, Sun Chemical.

"The addition of Rycoline's product lines enhances our position as an industry leader, bringing the best technology to our customers around the world," Lucas said. "This acquisition also demonstrates Sun Chemical's strategic direction in creating a printer supply business and commitment to creating value for the customer by optimising the combined performance of the ink, founts, blankets and wash for superior printing efficiency."

The Rycoline Incorporated Group of Companies produces a range of well-known products under the Rycoline®, Sun Graphic® and Rogersol® brands, which include a complete line of fountain solutions, blanket and roller washes, silicone and silicone replacement products, overprint coatings, printing blankets and a complete line of miscellaneous products from aerosols to anti-static products. Rycoline's headquarters are located in Chicago, IL and it has production facilities in Chicago; Clifton, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Adelanto, CA; Fort Worth, TX and Pompano Beach, FL. The group's products are sold worldwide.
