Corian Used in Sustainable House Design

DuPont Corian was selected to be featured as a product in "Casa Sustentable" (or "Sustainable House") in Argentina to highlight the importance of recycling and reusing materials for construction and decoration. Sustainable House is an innovative initiative organized by "Pure Design Trade Show."

Companies and industries that use raw materials from recycling processes to create different products were invited to be part of the house project. Corian was not only selected because of its versatility in modern and sustainable designs, but because damaged sheets and waste materials are used as raw materials for new Corian sheets during the manufacturing process.

"Participation of Corian in 'Sustainable House' shows the company's commitment to the environment," said Vanesa Zucchi, leader of DuPont Surfaces, South Cone. "DuPont's solid surfaces combine functionality, new designs and now sustainability."
