NLMK Establish New Subsidiary to Enhance Management of Long Products Buisiness

NLMK has established a new subsidiary, LLC NLMK-Long Products, to enhance the management of its long products business.

The newly established company will function as the managing company for NLMK's steel companies which specialize in the production of long products and metal-ware, including: OJSC Nizhne-Serginsky Metallurgical and Metalware Plant, CJSC Uralsky Plant of Precision Alloys, CJSC Berezovsky Electrometallurgical Plant, CJSC Kaluzhsky Electrometallurgical Plant, and companies from PO Vtorchermet. These companies produce commercial billet, wire rod, rebar, wire, nails, metal mesh and fixing hardware. NLMK's acquisition of the controlling stake in OJSC Maxi-Group and its subsidiaries resulted in the formation of this Division.

The new company's functions include the operation of all business processes, financial and commodity flows of long products. Setting up the managing company will enhance NLMK's long products business efficiency and cut down production costs along the value chain - from ferrous scrap collection and processing to high value added products manufacturing. LLC NLMK-Long Products also takes on the functions of NSMMZ Trading House, which used to trade in long products and metal-ware, in order to optimize the distribution system for finished products.
