BASF Coatings to Take Over Polish Importer and Expand Business

BASF Coatings is planning to restructure its distribution network for Glasurit and Salcomix products in Poland to meet the requirements of a rapidly growing automotive refinishes market in the country. In this context, the company is set to take over and further expand the business of Webolit-Polska Sp.z o.o., the current importer located in Katowice, in the first quarter of 2005.

Due to the good cooperation with Webolit, the high customer support level will be maintained even throughout the transition period. Furthermore, the current staff will continue to provide all customers with professional assistance. The take-over of the Polish importer is a strategic move BASF Coatings makes in view of the country’s integration into the European Union and the EU enlargement as a whole.
