The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) today announced that online attendee and housing registration is now open for COMPOSITES 2011, THE Composites Exhibition and Convention, which will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., February 2-4.
This year’s show will offer a full range of business, professional and educational opportunities with a continued emphasis on emerging markets, new technologies, environmental issues and equipment efficiencies. Exhibit space is nearly 60 percent sold out and more than 120 exhibitors are already on board for COMPOSITES 2011.
“Show attendees will find the networking, vendors and education they need to connect, learn and grow in the coming year—all under one roof,” says Marcy Offner, Marketing Manager, Composites One, and Co-chair of the COMPOSITES Committee. “Plus, this year’s Ft. Lauderdale location allows us to offer additional demonstrations and tours of local composites facilities to showcase the industry’s marine market.”
Building on the successful format of last year’s event, COMPOSITES 2011 will offer ample, unopposed time for attending education sessions, networking and visiting the exhibit hall. This year’s education sessions and technical paper presentations will continue to cover a broad range of topics and will now include a University Poster Session, a half-day of topical presentations from the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), a session on thermoplastics from the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), and additional programming on upper management topics.
The COMPOSITES 2011 exhibit hall will feature a number of specialized exhibit areas, including: Composites Europe Pavilion; Adhesives and Sealants Pavilion; University Pavilion, and Awards Pavilion. There will also be networking receptions for specialized industry areas, demonstrations/presentations on the main stage and in exhibit booths as well as the popular Awards Luncheon.
COMPOSITES is the largest composites event in North America representing the entire spectrum of the composites industry. The annual event is designed to provide composites manufacturers, end users, suppliers and distributors with the ideas, solutions, education, and networking they need to remain knowledgeable and competitive.
