LINE-X Protective Coatings, the nation's leading developer and provider of high performance protective coatings, has been invited to join the crew of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on an upcoming project in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
LINE-X will be donating and applying its spray on insulation FOAM-GUARD™ and ASPART-X™ floor coating to provide a more efficient and cost-effective home environment for the featured family.
"LINE-X has a long history of giving back to our communities and is excited to be working with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on this project," said Kevin Heronimus, LINE-X CEO. "Our local Virginia Beach franchisee will be on site along with corporate staff working closely with the designers of the show to support the project by donating both ASPART-X floor coating and our spray on insulation FOAM-GUARD. These products will help maintain the house and make it a more affordable and enjoyable place to live."
LINE-X's spray on insulation FOAM-GUARD utilizes closed cell foam to provide a complete air barrier, marking a 50 percent difference in air loss through exterior walls and roofing. This will make the house more energy efficient and help to keep utility bills low. LINE-X ASPART-X, an industrial polyaspartic protective coating for flooring will also be applied in the garage. ASPART-X provides ultraviolet (UV) protection that does not yellow or fade; will cure in all weather and temperature applications and offers excellent abrasion and chemical resistance for garage floors.
Each Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship or illness. The show's producers coordinate with a local construction contractor, which then coordinates with various companies in the building trades for a makeover of the family's home. The family chosen for this build is Beverly Hill and Fred Burdette who have each made it their calling to help foster children in the local community. Hill has a heart of gold, and she's been sharing her infectious love for life for over fifteen years helping over thirty-five foster kids, and the surrounding community as she continues to strengthen her mission to feed and clothe the homeless. After raising her two biological children, Beverly and Fred formally adopted six foster girls, who today range in age from nine to eighteen. Their charitable spirit reaches far beyond the foundation of their home and into their community. Now the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team will honor them with the same generosity they have shared with others and LINE-X is excited to be involved with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and the Hampton Roads project. Construction is currently underway in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
