Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL), producer of high-performance polymer products, has released a Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant.
It is a non-toxic, water-based material with minimal odor. The sealant is certified by UL Environment as mould resistant.
The sealant addresses the important issues in structure and noise transmission. The Green Glue can seal cracks in ceilings, walls and floors of any residential and commercial buildings, thus reducing noise transmission between rooms by 100 times or more. It enhances sound isolation as well as the quality of life. The sealant is easy to apply along the edges and joints of ceilings, walls and floors.
The Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant will not crack or dry with age. Painting can be done immediately after it gets dried and can be cleaned easily with water and soap. The soundproofing sealant surpasses the requirements of LEED green buildings. The eco-friendly solution acts as a sound barrier by reducing noise levels in older buildings and homes. It is easy to handle, store, and distribute to local customers.
SGPPL’s Global Sales and Marketing Manager, Acoustics, Mark Darby said that homeowners now have a cost-effective acoustical solution to add more value to their old homes.
SGPPL offers the sealant in 28-ounce tubes for professional and DIY uses. The material sticks firmly to several building substrates, including concrete, wood studs, metal studs, and plasterboard. The Green Glue Noiseproofing material is now available via acoustical distributors in various countries, including Portugal, France, Austria, and Spain.
