Pioneer in thermoset resins, Momentive Specialty Chemicals has developed a new portfolio of polyester resins called Albester SilkyMatt polyester resins exclusively developed for low gloss powder coating purposes.
The company will display the new products along with its other products at the European Coating Show to be conducted in Nuremburg, Germany from 29 to 31 March 2011.
The Business Director at Momentive Specialty Chemicals, Maurizio Crippa, stated that the new polyester resins are customized to offer producers with a powder coating system that provides considerable benefits, including gloss uniformity and optimum level of application reproducibility under various curing conditions and at various thicknesses. The polyester resins are ideal for applications in the transportation and architectural industries.
Momentive Specialty Chemicals has over two decades of experience in the production of polyester resin systems for low gloss uses. The firm’s systems use formulations that have one-shot or dry-blend technologies. They also use various curing agents for powder coating of polyurethane and polyesters. The company produces powder coating resin systems, including standard low gloss systems for transportation and architectural powder coating, an extensive range of systems exclusively developed for dye sublimation and a reliable packages for coatings that fulfill the criteria of GSB and Qualicoat for the architectural industry.
