Flame Seal Products has purchased machinery and other associated devices to produce GS600, a new powder fire retardant additive for plastics.
Flame Seal is currently modifying its new facility situated at 15200 West Drive in Fort Bend County, Texas, to house four duplicate systems. The company plans to fine tune and de bug its existing initial system and make it ready for operation within six weeks. Once the first system starts operations, the company plans to add three more duplicate systems at the facility. This proposal will make the company to produce 8 million pounds of the GS600 powder per year.
Flame Seal plans to complete the new facility construction within the same six-week period. The company has almost completed the construction of new offices at the facility. Upgrade of safety, sprinkler, power and water systems for production needs will get over within the same period.
Once the plans are completed, the facility will have four powder systems for producing GS600 powder additive for the plastic industry and two huge-scale liquid manufacturing systems to serve the polyurethane foam insulation industry. It will also have two small-scale liquid systems with a capacity of 600 gallons for the leather industry to produce fire retardant leather seals. In total, the facility will produce 2.6 million gallons leather seal and same quantity of Flame Seal-TB coating per year.
