New PANTONE PLASTIC STANDARD Chips Now Available for Designers

A subsidiary of X-Rite and a specialist in color science and technology, Pantone has announced that PANTONE PLASTIC STANDARD Chips are now available for designers across various industries ranging from product design to toys and fashion accessories.

PANTONE PLASTIC STANDARD Chips

The PANTONE PLASTIC STANDARD Chips have the capability to match the entire 3,400 PANTONE Colors found in the PANTONE FASHION + HOME Color System and PANTONE PLUS SERIES libraries. The chips enable designers to send their designs along with full color specifications to their customers. This reduces cost, increases efficiencies and hastens the speed to market. Thus, clients can now easily specify their favorite PANTONE Colors in plastic.

The PANTONE PLASTIC STANDARD Chips are made from polypropylene and are offered in both matte and gloss finishes. The size of these polypropylene chips is 3”x1 7/8” and the thickness varies from 1-2 mm. Hence, they are easy to see, match and specify the favorite PANTONE Colors in plastic. The PLASTIC STANDARD chip has a small hole to facilitate designers to group the color palettes on rings. Each chip includes details like PANTONE Color numbers or names, spectral data information and pigment formulations.
