Avantor Performance Materials, producer and distributor of high-performance materials and chemistries, has signed an agreement with Kulczyk to purchase POCH S.A.
Avantor Performance Materials distributes its products under several brands, including Macron, Diagnova, J.T.Baker and Rankem. Electronics, biotechnology, photovoltaic and pharmaceutical are some of the industries that use Avantor’s products. In addition, the high-performance products have application in academic, research and quality control laboratories.
POCH manufactures products that are used in filtration, microbiology and standard and instrumental analysis. The Poland-based company also produces solvents for use in spectroscopy and liquid and gas chromatography. Furthermore, it markets laboratory glass and equipment and serves a wide range of industries, including food and feed, petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceuticals.
Jean-Marc Gilson, President and CEO of Avantor, stated that the acquisition of POCH is a part of the company’s plan to strengthen its footprint in the international market.
Jaros³aw Bieszczad, CEO of POCH, said that the transaction will enable POCH to deliver Avantor’s high-quality products to the customers. The acquisition also provides new market reach for POCH‘s products via the worldwide presence of Avantor.
